- When a new student requests lessons with a teacher, an introductory lesson is scheduled. This lesson is paid for by the student and teachers are compensated.
- The first lesson is not a free trial, it is charged.
- Payments are handled by musiprof. A payment request is sent to a new client after the teacher has scheduled the lesson in the administration system. Note that teachers should not accept payment from students, as all payments are handled by Musiprof.
- After the first lesson is completed, Musiprof will contact the student and see if the student would like to pre-purchase a lesson package of 5, 10 or 15 lessons. The teacher will receive a confirmation email with the details of the clients order.
- If a client is not comfortable purchasing a lesson package, they can opt to pay for one lesson at a time. However, this option is not advertised since we prefer that students invest in a lesson package. The only requirement is that the teacher accepts this arrangement and the client must save an active credit card on their account.
- Lessons are offered in a 30 minute, 45 minute or 60 minute format. Typically, 60 minute lessons are offered for adults and 30 or 45 minutes are reserved for children and teenagers. However, this format is not set in stone.
