Student guidelines and policies

After each new student signs up for lessons with a teacher, this student registration agreement is sent to them. The following details outline the information in this agreement so that you understand our guidelines and policies relating to scheduling and cancelling lessons.

  • Students are required to notify their teacher 24 hours in advance if they cannot attend a regular lesson. Without a 24-hour notice to the teacher, the lesson will be considered complete and the teacher will be paid. *Note that all communications regarding scheduling and cancellations should be directed to teachers, and not Musiprof.
  • Teachers are expected to wait no more than 15 minutes for late students, after that the lesson is considered counted, and the teacher will be paid.
  • If a student wishes to interrupt their lessons, Musiprof will help the student find a new teacher. After the first lesson of a package is complete, refunds can no longer be provided.
  • A maximum of TWO (2) lessons can be postponed per lesson package. Lessons typically unfold once per week, unless otherwise agreed upon in advance with your teacher.
  • Any missed lesson must be postponed and completed within 30 days of the end date of the session. This maintains consistency from both an educational point of view (keeping students inspired and motivated!) And also from a financial point of view for our teachers. A session is considered to be equivalent in weeks to the amount of lessons you purchased. For example, 5 lessons = 5 weeks.

*Please note that teachers can make exceptions to anyone one of these guidelines. They are designed to protect our teachers schedules, therefore exceptions can be made based on good faith and upfront communication.
