Here's how the first lesson goes. First, I would like to make sure that the student has the motivation to play none other than this particular instrument. Then I will ask destiny the question to find out what level the student is at. My lessons are always borrowed from what the student knows. No lesson is ever the same for the same student. Everyone is at a different level and I tailor the lesson to the student, theoretically and practically. The first things I mess with are more theoretical, such as interval, chords, building the instrument theoretically and practically. I am specialize in extended range bass, specifically 5 and 6 string, but also teach 4 string bass For the past 10 years I have developed my own method of playing major chords all over the fretboard, this applies to 4,5,6 string basses. The method is specialized to cover the full 24-position instrument that does not exist in any other material.
