I specialize in teaching classical voice and musical theater, but I teach all genres as I have had students go on to sing gospel, pop and rock genres. In my lessons I always emphasize and work with what the student is interested in learning, especially since singing can be such a personal and intimidating art form. I am also an active performer, and being a performer helps me in my teaching because I am ever learning and growing with the musicians I perform with, which I can then relay to my students during our lessons to help them understand concepts and inspire them. As a teacher, it is always my goal to have a student find their true voice and sound.
