Kairon H. — Drum Teacher — Mount Pleasant East, Brampton

Kairon Haynes is a drummer, musical director, teacher and a full-time musician. He began playing drums from a young age in church with gospel music as his roots. Kairon has expanded his musicality by diving into many genres and has been pursuing a career in music. In 2012, Kairon began his career in music as a teacher along with working as a freelance musician; In 2016, Kairon graduated from York University with a BFA in Music and Jazz Performance. Kairon has experience playing and teaching a variety of genres such as Pop, R&B, Gospel, CCM, Country, Rock, Hip-Hop and more. Over the years, Kairon has had the great pleasure of working with incredible artists and bands as a drummer and musical director such as NIIVA, Chad Price, Madeline Merlo, Sam Drysdale, Tamia, Keshia Chanté, Elevation Church, Sole Power Productions and more! Kairon has taught several of his students the fundamentals of drumming, technique, and all the genres he plays. Kairon has also prepped several of his student for post secondary music programs such as Humber College, York University and Mohawk College by teaching drums and music theory. Among these things, Kairon loves touring and playing in any setting where he can hit those drums and keep everyone’s feet moving!
