Golnar R. — Guitar Teacher — Riverwood, Coquitlam-Burke Mountain

Hello, my name is Golnar, Welcome to my studio:) I am a guitar teacher(in different styles) with over 10 years of experience in teaching adults and children, a music ensemble artist, and a member of the Vancouver Classical Guitar Society's Ensemble (VCGS). I hold my Master of Arts degree with an emphasis on music from Tehran/Irani. I've received an Advanced Certificate of Performance from the Trinity College in London as well as a TVU Advanced Certificate in Theory of Music. I've prepared students for different music exams and organized and conducted student concerts every three months. Much of my time is spent teaching, performing, and recording. I have already published three albums by the names of: 1. Rosette; 2. Passing Life; and 3. Bella Ciao. One of my main goals is to be a great source of inspiration for my students as they learn to play the guitar.

My private classes are FUN, CREATIVE, and HIGHLY INDIVIDUALIZED according to the students abilities, goals, and dreams. As a guitar instructor, I instruct in a variety of musical genres, including pop, folk, and flamenco, as well as teaching music theory. Students will learn many essential techniques of classical guitar, including chords and arpeggios, sight reading, finger picking, theory of music, and many of their favorite pieces. I also teach my students about the various styles of music and music history, introduce them to famous musicians, composers, and performers, as well as help them develop their own unique style of performance. In order to motivate and inspire my students,I play duets with them and encourage them to play with their friends, as well as organizing many ensembles and concerts. Furthermore, I always suggest to my students that one of the best ways they can discover and strengthen their weak points is by recording their practices.
