Education

  • Bachelor of Fine Arts (BFA) in Classical Voice Performance, York University

About

I’ve always had a love of singing and music and I’ve been performing onstage since I was 13 with various theatre groups! Recently, I studied at York University and am currently working towards a Bachelor of Fine Arts in Classical Voice Performance. While there, I studied with various voice teachers who had an extensive career before teaching at the university. As well, I studied at the Music Theatre Workshop with The Singer’s Studio at Wilfrid Laurier University. I studied both voice and piano with the Ontario Conservatory of Music from the age of seventeen until the age of twenty. In 2019, I curated my first cabaret in downtown Toronto. Currently, I am a working actor, singer and teacher. I am also part of a theatre collective operating in the GTA.

What You'll Learn

My teaching philosophy revolves around 3 things: 1) Healthy singing! It is very important that we sing in a healthy way that won’t cause damage to our instrument. We will learn about the physiology of singing and the anatomy of your voice, so we can use it to it’s best ability! 2) Making a connection between yourself, the music and the audience. What really matters is how the music makes you feel and connecting with your audience. 3) Having fun! This is a space to play and create. It is so important to have fun with your craft, otherwise why do it?
