Seeing my students grow and succeed is the most rewarding part of teaching. I believe every student learns differently, so I tailor each lesson to their individual goals and learning style. I hold a Bachelor of Music degree from the University of Toronto, continued my studies at McGill University's Schulich School of Music, and was a member of the Rebanks Family Fellowship and International Residency Program at The Royal Conservatory of Music. As a professional violinist who regularly performs with the Toronto Symphony Orchestra, I enjoy sharing the experience and knowledge I've gained both on stage and in the classroom. Whether you're preparing for an RCM exam, learning with the Suzuki method, getting ready for an audition, or simply playing for fun, my lessons focus on building strong technique, musical expression, and healthy practice habits. I also teach music theory and can help students prepare for RCM theory exams.
I've been teaching violin for several years and enjoy working with students of all ages and experience levels. Alongside my private studio, I regularly perform with the Toronto Symphony Orchestra and other professional ensembles throughout the Greater Toronto Area. Whether you're learning the violin for the first time, preparing for an RCM exam, auditioning for an orchestra, or simply playing for enjoyment, I tailor each lesson to your individual goals and learning style. I also hold RCM certifications in music theory, harmony, and history, and I'm happy to help students strengthen these skills alongside their violin playing. My goal is to create a supportive and encouraging environment where students can build confidence, develop strong fundamentals, and enjoy making music.
