I am a Toronto-based guitarist and composer. I have performed all over North America on guitar and had many of my compositions played. I have taught music in Boston, New York, New Jersey, and in Toronto. I am proficient in Rock, Pop, Jazz, Funk, Country, and love working in more experimental styles like Free Improvisation, Microtonal Music, and Electronic Music.

I first try to find out what initially attracted the student to the instrument. Lessons are balanced between giving the student technical information they need (e.g. scales, chords, a little theory) and teaching the student songs/styles that they are interested in. I try to keep a light, humorous teaching environment, and suggest a practice regime that is not strenuous but provides solid results if followed.
