About

Hello! I am a musician who thrives on working in person with students. I believe that all students, no matter their age or identity, are composers. For the last 8 years, my work as a teacher has been to find unique ways to expand and enhance my student’s abilities to express their unique feelings, thoughts, talents and emotions. I thrive in a live performance and creative settings. As a producer and engineer, I have helped countless musicians make some of their most expressive music. Early in my career I toured North America performing my own musical creations as a frontman for a chart-topping post-punk band Pig Farm and The Lost Dakotas (https://adamfaux.bandcamp.com/album/pigfarm-plug), and worked extensively as a producer and sound engineer for award winning independent and major label recordings and film. For roughly 25 years, I have produced music to accompany film, dance, song-writing and live performance. Most recently I worked as a Producer creating the # 1 pop hit The Island And The Sea with Artist Faun Stella (https://artists.landr.com/faunstella), and a recorded collection of covers of early Rock and R and B from the late 40’s and 50’s with Jet Puppy (https://canadianbeats.ca/2024/01/30/jet-puppy-shares-new-single-shake-rattle-and-roll/). In the world music forum, I have studied in varied disciplines that include the Philippine Rondalla and Gangsa, Swahili music and culture, and the Sanskrit language and Devanagari script. I am looking forward to hearing from you! Adam.

What You'll Learn

My lessons begin by asking you what you would like to learn to play, sing or create. The rest will unfold at a pace that is tailored to your needs. You may like to switch instruments as an experiment. You may want to record your work for reflection, or to release commercially. We can do all of that together! I am a performing and recording musician and signed songwriter, who thrives while working in person with students. I believe that all students, no matter their age or identity, are composers and songwriters. For many years, my work as a teacher has been to find unique ways to expand and enhance my student’s abilities to express their unique feelings, thoughts, talents and emotions using the Guitar, Bass, Voice, Ukulele, Piano, and Recording Technologies (Logic, Pro Tools Garage band), and by using studio mix and engineering techniques.
