My main skills to offer as a music teacher are in my knowledge and experience of vocal technique which spans 15 years. I teach important foundational concepts for beginner students such as: proper breath support vowels releasing tension in the body healthy placement (ex: how to use the head register, belt, mix, etc. in a way is sustainable over a long period of time) As well, I offer basic theory to beginner students, which make individual practice time a much more productive and enjoyable experience. For intermediate students, I build upon basic concepts and take them to the next level, introducing more complexity as students progress. On top of that, I use my acting training to help students of all levels connect with songs on an emotional level when performing. By breaking down the meaning of the lyrics, and personalizing them to give each song they sing their own unique twist, I can help students adapt for both live and on camera performances.
