Yes, free: scheduling, student invitations, packages and credits, payment tracking, receipts, and your shareable page. No card required, no trial clock. Musiprof earns money on its marketplace side, where teachers who join the network receive students from us. Your studio stays free either way, and joining the network is always optional.
Directly to you, always. In Canada that usually means Interac e-transfer (sent to your signup email by default, or any address you set under Payments) or cash. You confirm receipt with one click and the student's package activates. You can also offer card payments through your own Stripe account: the money goes straight to you.
Connect your own Stripe account under Payments (about 10 minutes, one-time). Card money lands in your Stripe account and you control your own payouts. Credit cards charge sellers 3 to 4%, so there's an optional toggle: when it's on, card prices include the percentage you set, and paying you directly shows as a discount, meaning card-paying students cover the card fees instead of you. Turn it off and everyone sees one price, with card fees coming out of your side.
You define your packages under Pricing (for example 5 or 10 lessons with a small discount). When a student buys one and you confirm the payment, their lessons arrive as credits. Each completed lesson uses one credit automatically, and both you and the student always see how many remain. No more counting lessons in a notebook.
From your Students page, invite each student with their (or their parent's) email. For siblings, send one invitation per child using the same parent email: the parent accepts each one and manages all their children and payments from a single account. Once an invitation is accepted, chat, proposals and scheduling unlock for that student.
Only people who have your link. Your page does not appear in searches on Musiprof or on search engines: it's your private storefront to share by text, email or social media. Publishing requires a complete page (photo, bio, instruments, preferences, pricing) so it always looks professional when someone opens it.
The network is the marketplace side: your page becomes findable by students in your city, Musiprof sends you matching requests, and you collect public reviews. Commission applies only to students Musiprof sends you; every student you brought yourself stays commission-free, forever. Joining means adding payout details and a short review of your page. Your tools and current students don't change.
Yes, fully: page, invitations, scheduling, credits and payment records all work anywhere. Your students pay you directly (cash, bank transfer, or as arranged between you). Card payments unlock once we confirm your region, because your Stripe account must be created in your country and currency; that usually takes about a day after you sign up. The Musiprof network itself is available in Canada for now.
Yes to both, with no app store needed. Open app.musiprof.com in Safari (iPhone) or Chrome (Android), tap Share, then "Add to Home Screen" for a full-screen app icon. For your calendar, tap "Sync" on the Calendar page and pick Apple, Google or Outlook: lessons, reschedules and cancellations flow in automatically. The sync link is private to you.
Every payment you record or confirm gets a receipt issued in your name (Musiprof appears only as the record keeper), and your Statements page keeps the yearly log of everything received. In Canada, music lessons are GST/QST exempt, so receipts correctly show no tax line.
