With a background spanning both classical and jazz traditions, I bring a versatile and creative approach to piano performance and teaching. I hold a Bachelor of Fine Arts in Jazz Studies (Jazz Piano Performance) from Concordia University, a Bachelor of Arts in Psychology and Music (Classical Theory and History) from McGill University, and a Professional Certificate in Keyboard from Berklee College of Music. I have also attended the School for Improvisational Music (SIM) Summer Workshop in New York. As an active performer, I’ve played in a variety of settings — from cozy cafés and jazz bars to big bands and community concerts. Mentored by accomplished pianists and educators, I combine strong technical and theoretical training with an imaginative, improvisatory approach that helps students develop both skill and artistry.
Lesson Topics In my lessons, students can expect a supportive and structured approach tailored to their individual goals and pace. I work with children (10 years old and up), and adults at all levels — from beginner to advanced — creating a learning environment that balances discipline with enjoyment. Each lesson blends technical development, music theory, and creative expression to build a solid foundation while nurturing artistry. We explore a wide range of styles, including: - Jazz and improvisation - Classical - Pop My goal is to help every student feel confident, inspired, and deeply connected to their musical journey.
