Victoria Malenfant is a French vocalist based in Montreal and the first-prize winner of the 2022 Concours de la Relève at the Sutton Jazz Festival. She has performed in musicals such as Le chant de Saint-Carmen de la Main (Daniel Bélanger), Company (Stephen Sondheim), and Footloose by Productions 90. Additionally, she co-composed and performed the soundtrack for the new magic and circus show La Reine des Rats by Productions Old Charlotte. The singer has performed at two jazz festivals: Sutton Jazz Fest in August 2023 and T.U. Jazz Fest in September 2024. In January 2024, she released her debut EP, ‘Live Session at Sud-Ouest Studio’, which was entirely independently produced. In addition to being a backing vocalist for the maloya group Kozé, she also dedicates her time to teaching singing, practicing an Afro-Brazilian martial art, and crocheting.
My lessons are always divided into two sections; during the first, we work on the voice and vocal techniques through a warm-up and targeted exercises. During the second part, we work on repertoire chosen by the student in order to apply the techniques learned. My goal is to help adolescents (12 and up) and adults of all levels connect with their voice and discover their potential through music and various techniques to develop a sound and healthy voice. The voice is our primary tool for communication and self-expression, and through it, I aspire to guide my students through a process of exploration and awakening to achieve personal harmony. In a supportive atmosphere, we will work toward this goal by releasing the singing and speaking voice and improving your confidence. *For in-person lessons, please note that I have two cats*
