Timothy B. — Singing Teacher — East York, Toronto

I’m Timothy Bartsch, a Toronto cellist, pianist, singer and composer. I hold ARCT diplomas with honours in cello and piano performance, and I’m the lead singer of the rock band The Promise. I teach cello, piano and contemporary voice, building each lesson around the student: solid technique and healthy habits first, then the music they actually want to play or sing. I love teaching students of every age and level, especially those who want to find their own voice, whether that means performing, writing their own songs or simply playing for joy.

We warm up, discuss the practice/progress the student has made since the last lesson. I then ask what the student would like to work on next or suggest what they should next focus on. Then, we work!
