About

I am a third-year BMus student at The Glenn Gould School of The Royal Conservatory of Music studying under Glenn Einschlag. I was a four-year member of the Houston Youth Symphony, during which time I studied wuth Adam Trussell and made my solo debut with the Weber Bassoon Concerto. I have also participated in the Brevard Music Center and the Kinhaven Music School’s summer music programs, getting to learn from renowned bassoonists such as Catherine Chen, Andrew Brady, and Isaac Shultz. During my time at The Glenn Gould School, I have participated in masterclasses, featuring both solo pieces and orchestral excerpts, guested by Fie Xie, Miles Maner, Kim Laskowski, and Marc Goldberg. I am also a frequent member of the Royal Conservatory Orchestra, the Greater Toronto Philharmonic Orchestra, and occasionally sub for other orchestras in the area.

What You'll Learn

I will be focusing on a learning approach that is beneficial to the classical music world because that's what I have experience in. That being said, I have lots of quality education in both reed-making and playing, and I will be covering both topics in lessons as long as that is desired. Each student's goals will be different based on how they present to me and what they want to acheive, which can be anything ranging from recreational playing to a professional future.
