My name is Shiny Cheung and I am a classical pianist and piano teacher. From a very young age, music has held a very important place in my life. What started as a passion has become a career that I deeply love sharing with my students. Holding a Bachelor's degree in Classical Piano Performance from the Université de Montréal, I have been teaching piano for over nine years to children, teenagers, and adults. I enjoy guiding each of my students on their musical journey, whether they are discovering the piano for the first time or wish to refine their technique. For me, learning piano isn't just about playing the right notes. It's also about developing self-confidence, creativity, perseverance, and the joy of making music. I believe that every student learns at their own pace, which is why I always adapt my lessons according to each individual's needs, goals, and personality. What I love most about teaching is seeing my students progress week after week and being proud of their achievements, even the smallest ones. My goal is to create a warm, motivating, and encouraging environment where every student feels comfortable learning, asking questions, and enjoying playing the piano.
