I’ve been a musician for about 20 years, with my main experience on keyboard and guitar. I've also been a composer for the last 4 years, with a passion for story music, writing in genres of soundtrack, electronic, orchestral, acoustic, metal, lo-fi, wedding music, and classical. I love teaching others anything related to music! Whether it's playing guitar or keyboard, writing melodies and chords, teaching musical psychology and emotion, simplifying complex theory or getting your songs out there for others to hear them. There's so much beauty in music but it's sometimes difficult for people to access, because there's a lot to learn. But I love coming alongside and helping people go a little deeper in and helping them get to the next level. My music education is a mix of courses and being self-taught. My music education has been in the following areas: - Advanced music theory - Melody writing - Digital music production - Orchestral music for film, television and games - Drum programming - Orchestration for strings, woodwinds, brass - Electronic dance music production - Music business, distribution, copyright, monetization - Sound design - Mixing and mastering If you're passionate about music, I'd love to connect with you and see how I can join you in your musical journey!
Do you want to develop your creative side in music? Do you want to be able to jam with other musicians confidently, improvising on the spot? Would you like to create your own songs but don't know where to start? I'd love to help you develop these skills! Many teachers will focus on correct technique, reading sheet music and playing pieces from the classical repertoire. While these skills are all important, they don't really equip you for the more creative side of music. Best thing of all, you don't even need any experience to start. I will meet you at your skill level, even if you're an absolute beginner, and help take you to the next level. My lessons are primarily geared for adults or teenagers, but I also love to teach kids and can teach creativity at their level. My main focus is helping you develop skills to make your own music, instead of primarily playing music written by others. By learning basic functional theory, you'll understand how music works, how songs are structured, and the emotions of music in a wholistic way. And with these skills, you'll skyrocket your speed and skill to pick up pop songs and play them by ear or with chords! Main takeaways from learning with me: - functional (not boring) music theory - chords - playing by ear - improvising - composition If this sounds interesting, contact me and I'd love to help you along a few steps of your musical journey! My piano practise wasn't happening for months as I felt stuck in old patterns. Finding a guide/teacher who could support me in enjoying the practise while opening to my creativity was my endeavour. I have found in Sasha the teacher I was looking for. Feeling grateful so far :-) Thank you Musiprof.
