Marianne D. — Violin Teacher — Ville-Marie, Montreal

Grand Prize winner of the 2006 Canadian Music Competition, Marianne Di Tomaso has distinguished herself nationally and internationally. She is a second prize recipient of both the Concertino Praga International Competition, as well as the OSM Standard Life Competition. In 2014, Ms. Di Tomaso received the Peter Mendell Award Scholarship, and in 2018, she was awarded the first prize at the Virtuoso e Belcanto violin competition in Lucca, Italy. Ms. Di Tomaso holds degrees from the Conservatoire de Musique de Montréal, the Yale School of Music, as well as the Schulich School of Music. She is currently principal second violin of the Orchestre Classique de Montréal, section violinist of the Orchestre Philharmonique du Québec, and freelances with several ensembles in the Montreal area including the Orchestre Symphonique de Montréal and the Orchestre Métropolitain.
