About

I have been studying classical guitar for over 10 years. In 2025, I obtained my high school diploma in general music from the University of Montreal, where I took courses in history, composition, and music theory, and I performed solo classical guitar concerts. I also performed group Balinese music concerts and some vocal performances in a university choir. I began learning guitar in my native Venezuela with private lessons from a renowned teacher. He taught me all kinds of pieces, such as Venezuelan waltzes, bachata, and even songs from the 1980s. Later, I had the opportunity to take classical guitar lessons with a great renowned musician, Leonardo Lozano, who is also from my country.

What You'll Learn

Guitar Learning In this section, I want to guide you through a progressive and structured approach to mastering the guitar. We will start with the essential basics: posture, how to hold the instrument, and understanding the different parts of the guitar. It is crucial to establish good habits from the beginning to avoid tensions or incorrect positions that could hinder your progress. Next, we will cover learning the fundamental chords, accompanied by practical exercises to strengthen your finger dexterity and coordination. I favor a fun method, incorporating simple pieces that you can play quickly to keep you motivated and enjoying playing. Subsequently, we will explore more advanced playing techniques, such as string plucking, arpeggio playing, and reading sheet music or tablatures. I will encourage you to practice regularly, set realistic goals, and use various resources like videos, apps, or pieces from different styles. My goal is to support you step by step, adapting the teaching to your pace and musical preferences, so you can develop your own style and gain confidence in your ability to play the guitar.
