I hold a Bachelors Degree in Music Education (Susquehanna University) and a Master's Degree in Music Performance (Bowling Green State University). For both degrees, I studied saxophone as my primary instrument, while also studying piano and violin concurrently. I have won several grants for performance projects, one concerto competition (2019), and have performed saxophone repertoire internationally on multiple occasions. In my undegrraduate career, I was also a piano accompanist for students under scholarship. In my master's career, I held a Teaching Assistantship where I taught a woodwind methods courses. In addition to this, I was reguarly hired as a collaborative pianist for juries, auditions, rehearsals, and so forth. I provide insight in solo with accompaniment repertoire that you may not find elsewhere - given that I have been found on both sides (as soloist or as accompanist). As a saxophonist with 15 years of experience, I am well-versed in technique and repertoire selection. I have experience teaching individuals ranging from beginners to collegiate-level professionals. In lessons, I have guided students through repertoire for various competition and concert preparation, focused in one their breathing control, articulation, and other pedagogical concepts, and so forth. I am a current doctoral student at McGill University, and have had several years teaching throughout my collegiate career. I will be sure to elevate my students' performance ability, and I seek to provide them a means to grow as artists. I am most comfortable classical and contemproary music, but I am here to provide to you as the student the tools to succeed in whatever you want to play.
