He began his musical journey at the age of 10 with the classical guitar. He participated in various studio performances and classical guitar seminars for young musicians. He then decided to dedicate himself seriously to music by entering the Tehran Conservatory of Music at the age of 13, where he began playing the clarinet—an instrument that is both beautiful and mysterious. He has performed in various youth and professional symphony orchestras across the country and, two years before graduating, he formed a clarinet quartet with his close clarinetist friends, performing at various events and concerts. During those years, chamber music was his greatest passion, providing him with the opportunity to begin arranging pieces for different types of ensembles. After graduating, he moved to Canada and took time to explore aspects of music beyond the classical realm, such as sound recording, electronic music, DAWs, VSTs, and MIDI sounds. He later resumed his clarinet studies at McGill’s Schulich School of Music, performing with chamber ensembles and the McGill Wind Orchestra.
Students will primarily learn how to play the clarinet, as well as musical skills that are not only useful for playing their instrument but will also support them throughout their journey as musicians. Practice techniques will also be covered with students so they can use their mind, body, and time as effectively as possible, based on the latest research conducted on musicians.
