Hi, I’m Juliano. I’m a pianist, teacher, and university music theory teaching assistant with a passion for helping students find their voice at the instrument. My teaching style bridges traditional classical discipline with modern, real-world musicianship. I emphasize healthy physical technique, practical theory, sight-reading, and ear training, ensuring students build strong musical autonomy. Whether we are working through classical pieces, Royal Conservatory exam prep, or contemporary songs you love, every lesson is adapted to your pace and learning style. I love teaching because music is a skill that empowers people. My goal is to break down complex concepts into clear, manageable steps so you can experience consistent breakthroughs and enjoy playing every day.
What to Expect in a Lesson I structure lessons so you feel both challenged and energized from start to finish. We always begin with a quick technical warm-up to dial in healthy posture and hand coordination. From there, we dive into our main focus—polishing core repertoire, breaking down challenging measures, and learning effective practice strategies so you know exactly what to do at home. To wrap up, the last portion of every lesson is dedicated to creative musicianship. We spend that time either sharpening your ear training and listening skills or working directly on a passion project—a pop tune, movie soundtrack, or personal favorite piece you're excited to learn. You always leave the bench feeling accomplished and inspired for the week ahead.
