Hi, I’m Jesse Tamang. I’m a violinist and teacher with over a decade of experience. I started my musical journey in Nepal, studying Piano and Music Theory at the Kathmandu Jazz Conservatory. I was a founding member and served as the Concertmaster of the Kathmandu Youth Orchestra, while completing my A level in Music at the British School in Kathmandu. I came to Toronto to study violin and piano at the RCM, and I have completed four years for my Music Degree from York University in Violin Performance. I perform often around the city with the Greater Toronto Philharmonic Orchestra, Rosedale Symphony Orchestra, Counterpoint Community Orchestra, and the Richmond Hill Philharmonic Orchestra. I am familiar with both the RCM and ABRSM curriculum, as well as Suzuki and other internationally taught violin and piano methods. I always use materials from diverse resources to create unique lessons for students to address their musical needs. I am experienced in preparing students for external examinations and recitals, as well as working with more casual students who are simply looking to enrich their lives with music.
I offer lessons for all ages and in a variety of styles. I am familiar with both the RCM and ABRSM curriculums, as well as the Suzuki method for strings. While drawing from different methods, I can create unique lessons plans for students that can address their musical needs.
