About

I am a Colombian violinist, educator, and cultural manager. I hold an undergraduate degree in Music from the Juan N. Corpas University in Bogotá, and both a Master’s Degree in Violin Performance and a Performer Diploma from the Jacobs School of Music at Indiana University (Bloomington). From 2022 to 2025, I served as a full-time teacher-researcher and Director/Dean of the Music Department at Universidad del Norte, where I received the Award for Excellence in the Classroom on five occasions and the Luis López de Mesa Order from the Colombian Ministry of Education. I have coordinated and produced the Barranquilla International Chamber Music Festival and the EuroCaribe Concert of Cátedra Europa, collaborating with artists such as Carlos Vives, Monsieur Periné, and the National Symphony Orchestra of Colombia. I also directed the UniNorte Strings Project, dedicated to orchestral training and community engagement. My publications include Chamber Music in Barranquilla: From Research to the Social Projection of the City’s International Festival (book chapter) and Carlos Vives: Caribe Universal (as Editorial Director).
