Gregory K. — Drum Teacher — Rosemont, Montreal

Gregory is a Montreal-based drummer working in performance, composition, and music education. He is known for his versatility as a sideman, working regularly in pop and rock settings, as well as playing jazz and experimental music. As a bandleader, Gregory writes music that blends elements of jazz, classical, and folk to create pieces that blur the line between chamber music and popular song, as can be heard on his forthcoming release "A Drop of Grace." As a sideman, he has contributed his creativity and rhythmic drive to artists such as Soul Station Orchestra, Cope Land, Gas Station Mentality, Pamela King, Sarah Rossy, Michael Go, James Parm, Boulila and more. As an interdisciplinary collaborator, he has performed alongside circus artists as a part of Montréal Complètement Cirque, as well as serving in the pit band for shows such as Carrie: The Musical, Rent, and Urinetown. Gregory is a graduate of McGill University's Schulich School of Music in jazz performance.

As a teacher, my goal is to help you learn the music you love, develop a strong and sustainable technical foundation, and inspire you to explore the drum set as a vehicle for self expression.
