Étienne L. — Guitar Teacher — Ahuntsic, Montreal

Guitarist for 20 years, I first learned classical guitar, notably at the Val d'Or Conservatory. At the same time, I played the trumpet in the Harricana Harmony band in Amos. Afterward, I went to study at the Montreal Conservatory for a year before attending Cégep Saint-Laurent for electric guitar, where I earned a diploma in music and song techniques. I then went on to complete a Bachelor's performance degree at UQAM. Since 2023, I've been with the band Undercover Legends of Rock, where I play hits from the 70s and 80s.

My lessons are focused on the joy of playing. Wiith the student, I set goals and customize the lessons accordingly. Music theory, including scales, chords, arpeggios, and technique, is always taught to serve these objectives and is therefore directly applicable to the songs we are learning. I can teach classical, acoustic, and electric guitar, as well as bass, in the student's preferred style. Versatility is key!
