About

2000–2004: Completed initial music education at a music college, graduating with honors as a classical pianist. In the same graduation year, won 1st prize at the 9th National Classical Piano Competition. 2004–2008 Obtained a Bachelor's degree in Musicology and Fortepiano from the Uzeyir Hajibeyov Baku Music Academy, graduating with highest honors. Building on a strong classical foundation, independently studied and mastered jazz improvisation techniques and methods. Regular annual participant in the Baku International Jazz Festival. 2011- Expanded international horizon by performing at the Perm Jazz Festival in Russia.Cultural Ambassador (2011): Invited as a performing musician representing Azerbaijani culture during official cultural days across France, Germany, Belgium, and Norway. Achieved significant international success as a semi-finalist at the prestigious Montreux Jazz Competition in Switzerland. Represented Azerbaijan at the Caucasian Jazz Festivals in Georgia. Orchestral Collaboration: Shared the stage with the Brussels Jazz Orchestra at the Bozar concert hall in Brussels, Belgium. 2015–2017: I lived in New York and regularly joined jam sessions at the Smalls Jazz Club and gained great experience. 2019–Present: I have been working as a music teacher. Currently, I am studying Jazz Performance in the Master's program at McGill University, in the class of Jean-Michel Pilc.
