Luis B. — Saxophone Teacher — Île des Sœurs, Montreal

I started very young playing flute, guitar and piano. At 15, I started on saxophone and went to college as a saxophonist. Later on I studied Flute and clarinet as well. I have attended the following schools earning the following degrees: -Steinhardt (New York University). Master of Music (Music Theory and Composition) -Universidad del Valle - Bachelor of music (Music Education) During my studies at NYU, I took most of my classes in the Jazz department. My principal teachers included Dave Pietro, Ralph Lalama, Dave Shroeder, and Gil Goldstein.

To succeed as a music teacher, the most essential component is to make it fun. I try to enjoy every song, every little snippet of music along with my students. I team-up with them to find their voice and enjoy as much as possible their music.
