About

Music has been my great passion ever since I was very young. I started playing the piano early on, and I would constantly find myself imagining that I was playing, which truly helped me develop a deep understanding of music and reproduce it naturally. Later, in high school, I decided to try the saxophone… and I immediately fell in love with its warm sound and playing feel. I began taking lessons, and within just a few years, I knew this instrument would become the center of my life. I started collecting new instruments and teaching myself several of them, in addition to participating in various youth ensembles, jazz programs, and bands with friends. It was at that point that I decided to start teaching, wanting to avoid the overly rigid and soulless methods I had seen fail time and time again. In 2024, I began my post-secondary studies at Concordia University, where I am pursuing a Bachelor of Music, specializing in Jazz Studies. After my studies, I plan to work as a private teacher, studio musician, and performer in Montreal. I love meeting other musicians, regardless of their background, and I truly look forward to playing with you!

What You'll Learn

Lessons are designed for beginners or musicians with little experience. I adapt each session according to the student's musical inspirations and personal goals on their instrument. Throughout the lessons, we take the time to explore the science and anatomy of the instrument in depth to create a more intimate connection with it. This approach provides a solid foundation upon which the student can evolve, while avoiding plateaus too early in their learning. We will also cover essential music theory concepts, tailored to the student's progress and existing knowledge. Various repertoire styles and technical exercises will be regularly assigned for practice between lessons. Students will also be encouraged to develop improvisation from the very beginning, in order to nurture their musical creativity and keep their desire to progress in their art alive. Note: Currently, piano and organ lessons are available only at the student's home.
