About

Bogdan Gumenyuk: musician, producer, composer, educator, and founder of music label, LabelWhoAble. Bogdan was the recipient of a Fulbright scholarship, and received his master’s degree in Jazz Music Performance at The University of the Arts (Philadelphia), in 2013. He has won several international music competitions and shared the stage with notable jazz musicians from Western Europe and North America, including Curtis Fuller, Benito Gonzalez, Café, Joel Holmes, Pierre Boussaguet, Sam Harris, Ameen Saleem, Xavier Davis, Kevin Mahogany, among others. He has performed and taught internationally in many countries, including Ukraine, Germany, Poland, Latvia, Turkey, Canada, Greece, Serbia and the United States. Bogdan has recorded two albums of his own compositions: The Way I Hear, featuring John Swana, Louis Perdomo and Mark WhiZield Jr. (2017) and Love Letters to the Other Side, featuring Jim Doxas, Adrian Vadady, Lex French and Josh Rager (2022). Currently, Bogdan resides in Montreal and is active on the music scene as lead instrumentalist and educator.
