Teaching Approach and Lesson Topics:
Emphasis on allowing the student to pick the style of music that they enjoy the most as to assure that they find the joy, passion and creativity in the instrument well still maintaining a solid technical, theoretical & disciplinary base. Once on the path they most desire I think it is important to get them involved in fiddle groups, jazz or an orchestra, as I believe that getting them fully immersed in whichever style of music is crucial to becoming a good musician.
Education:
Integrative music studies— grade 10 conservatory of music — Camosun College Contemporary and Jazz program 2018/2019
2 years teaching experience both through private lessons and at the Long & McQuade lesson centre.
Tynan offers at-home lessons in the following locations:
