After completing my Bachelor’s Degree in Music Education in 1987, my chosen path took an unexpected turn when I immediately began singing in professional choirs. Even as my career was moving more and more towards professional singing, I still continued to offer private voice lessons and have now been teaching classical singing for over twenty-five years!
Recently, I followed a course on vocal anatomy specifically adapted for singers (Estill Voice Training). It was truly a revelation and it greatly expanded my singing and teaching toolkit. I am passionate about the vocal instrument and its anatomy, and fascinated by the emotions the human voice can inspire.
Every level of singer is welcome, whether you aspire to a professional career, or you’re an amateur singer looking to gain extra confidence during choir practice, or you simply want to take the mystery out of singing and learn just for the fun of it. Some of my students have also been actors and choir directors, bringing different perspectives to my teaching practice.
I always enjoy working alongside people who are eager to learn more about vocal music!
