Piano Instructor
Level: beginner, intermediate, advanced
Alek’s passion for music and education inspires him to continually work at improving his craft. His distinguishable teaching approach encourages individual students preferences and tastes, whether they are interested in learning jazz, popular music or classical piano.
Genre-crossing pianist Aleks is currently finishing jazz performance studies at Schulich School of Music at the University of McGill. As a soloist he has achieved important results in international piano competitions such as: Takasaki Artist Competition in Japan (1999) and Ignacio Cervantes Piano Competition in Cuba (2003). His performance titled “Voices” at the Belgrade Jazz Festival in 2013 was “beyond” a jazz concert. It was multi-media performance art, described as challenging, exhilarating, baffling, hypnotic by Thomas Conrad, Jazz Times Magazine 2013. As part of various artistic projects, he has participated in international music festivals across Europe.
